About Certiqual
Certiqual strengthens trust in language education through institutional accreditation, independent language-testing audits and Certi Marks, professional development and publicly verifiable outcomes.
Who we are
Certiqual operates at the point where language teaching and language assessment meet. We accredit the language education provision of organisations and, through a separate technical route, audit named language examinations or examination bodies and award the Certiqual Certi Mark when the applicable standard is met.
We also develop professional competence through advanced qualifications and continuing professional development. For organisations, we provide institutional membership and advisory services without presenting either as accreditation.
What we do
Each route serves a different purpose, audience and public claim. Certiqual keeps those meanings distinct.
Institutional accreditation for language education providers, covering governance, teaching, staff, learner experience and continuous improvement.
Technical audit of a precisely identified examination or test suite, including validity, reliability, fairness, scoring, security and monitoring.
Advanced professional learning in glottodidactics and language testing and assessment, with awards and CPD that can be verified online.
An institutional network and specialist support for organisations, kept structurally separate from accreditation, audit and Certi Mark decisions.
How we work
Requirements and applicable standard versions are identifiable before an organisation applies.
Documents, records, observation and interviews connect each conclusion to evidence.
Competence, conflicts of interest and separation from advisory work are controlled.
The Public Register shows exactly what is recognised, its validity and current status.
Different relationships
Confirms that the named organisation, examination or other subject met the applicable requirements within the exact published scope and validity period.

Record a professional's learning or assessed achievement. They are individually verifiable and do not make the holder an institutional member.
